autumn wordart

The evenings are getting colder and the flowers in my garden are slowly dying so I guess the end of summer is getting close.

I like autumn though, love it when the air gets all crispy and the leaves start changing their colours to all the beautiful reds, yellows and golds.

Its nice to take the dogs for a long walk in the woods and afterwards have some hot chocolate at home, yes I definitely do like autumn

I like trying new things, so tonight I made my first ever QP.

It's like creating a scrap, only now without the photo's that make a scrap personal.

I liked doing it, think there will be more quick pages to come soon.

To my surprise it seems I've got my inspiration back.

These last few nights I have been enjoying myself tremendously trying all kind of things that are new to me and I even had a go at creating my own Word Art tubes.

Mind you, I'm only a newbie when it comes to Word Art but I thought I'd share them anyway.

scrapkit butterflies

It's been a while since I posted something new in here and what's even worse it has been a while since I've made something worthy enought to be displayed here.

I think I've been suffering from the psp equivalent of a writers block, I didn't have any inspiration and couldn't be bothered to even try and create something nice.

I pleasantly surprised myself last night, when all of a sudden I felt like trying another scrap kit and liking the result: so here it is!

scrapkit pansies

With the weather so nice and the plant boxes in my garden filled with freshly potted pansies, it wasnt too hard to find a new item for a new scrap kit.

I just love pansies and violets, with their little faces always turned up to the sun.

I even found some on my garden path from last years seeds the wind blew out of the pots.

Brave little things I think is what they are!

Creating templates is a nice change from making scrappies even though it's not as easy as it seems, at least not to me.

As I named this blog 'scraps and things' and until now put only scrapkits in here, I think it's time to live up to the name and post the first 'thing': a template.
It was my first one ever and although it seems so easy to do it took me a whole evening to make it.

yellow and blue

When I was a teenager..... long time ago... I decided to redecorate my room.
The colours I picked were yellow and blue.
I don't think I did too well a job then, but that didnt matter much to me.
I simply loved those colours.
As a matter of fact I still do, hence this scrapkit.
It turned out exactly like the room at that time.... simple but nice ;)
